Exciting!

We are in the middle of our final  meeting.

This is getting exciting!
Team members are humming.  The gear, the venue, the people.  All we need now is the learning!
The collaborative experience for the organisation and facilitation team is valuable in itself.

We are looking forward to see the development of wisdom rather than just knowledge.  Many of us heard at Ulearn10 that understanding the difference between knowledge and wisdom can be compared to the humble tomato.  Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.  Wisdom is knowing not to put it into a fruit salad.

Looking forward to see you all there.

Our hands off, their hands on!

We met again but this time it wasn't simply to show how clever we were. This time we had to show that we could step back and let others be in control. This way we can share knowledge but let the learners develop their skills. From kidpix to voicethread to iPod touch it was a fun learning session again. Can't wait until the 26th October!

The buzz!

One student returned from the first Genius Cafe meeting and went to tell another teacher what a great time she had had.

Brilliant!

En route to Genius Cafe

The show is well and truly on the road. The students appear to be feeling more confident after today's briefing and preparation at Enner Glynn. They have greater clarity and an overall vision for this project. This is an exciting venture and we look forward to meeting again for our 'dry run-through' with the Genius Team.

Our First Meeting

So the Whakatu Cluster Schools met and the Geneii met each other for the first time. We shared knowledge, tried some applications, listed what we were capable of and made support tools for teaching teachers about technology.
